Presenting on Television
With his friendly, engaging and relaxed manner, Andrew's natural style means he is sought after both as a presenter and a guest contributor on television.
Andrew brings knowledge and understanding to most subjects, but especially to his programmes about his passions of walking & the great outdoors, railways & transport, dogs and heritage.
The series builds on the successful format of short walks developed on the Walks Around Britain website, and features two walks of between 2 - 8 miles in each 30 minute programme.
Andrew has both written and presented most of the walks in the series and the all of the links to wrap around the segments to provide additional details and the guiding viewers to where they can find more information so they can do the walks for themselves.
Over the years, Andrew appeared as a guest on many television programmes - BBC Look North, BBC Midlands Today and Right To Reply have all interviewed Andrew for a range of topics.
BBC Look North called upon Andrew to talk about the challenge ahead for presenters Harry Gration and Paul Hudson as they finished the first day of their 3-legged walk across Yorkshire for Sport Relief. This combined Andrew's knowledge of walking and Yorkshire.
Andrew is available to present and/or report on programmes and features; with the required experience to deliver pieces-to-camera and interviews to get the best out of the famous and the interesting alike.
He can also be called upon to provide an interview or comment on any of his main areas of interests :
Walking & The Great Outdoors
Railways & Transport
British Heritage & History
Scenic Drives & Rail Journeys
Film-making & Technology
and, of course, Yorkshire
